Editorial Policy

DigiMetrics Hub publishes free network and privacy tools and educational guides on IP addresses, DNS, VPNs, SSL, web performance, SEO, and online security. We take the accuracy of that information seriously. This page documents how we research, write, edit, fact-check, and update everything we publish.

Who writes our content

All articles are written and edited by Mehadi Shawon, cybersecurity researcher and founder of DigiMetrics Hub. Guest contributors, if any, are clearly bylined and vetted for direct, demonstrable experience with the topic they're covering.

Our sources

We prefer primary sources: IETF RFCs, official vendor documentation (Cloudflare, Google, Mozilla, Let's Encrypt, ICANN, IANA), authoritative security databases (NVD, MITRE), and major browser engine docs. Where we cite third-party research, we link to the original publication.

Fact-checking

• Every technical claim is checked against at least one primary source.
• Code samples and CLI commands are tested locally before publishing.
• Numbers, percentages, and version numbers are linked to the source.
• Screenshots and tool output reflect the most recent available version.

Updates & freshness

Internet standards evolve quickly. We review every published article at least once per year and immediately after relevant changes (e.g. new TLS versions, DNS protocol updates, deprecations). Each article displays a "Last updated" date so readers can see when the page was last reviewed.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error, please email mehadishaawon@gmail.com with the article URL and the issue. We respond within 24–48 hours and update incorrect information promptly. Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article.

AI & automation

We may use AI tools to draft outlines, suggest phrasing, or check grammar. Every published article is then rewritten, fact-checked, and edited by a human with subject-matter knowledge before publishing. We never publish AI-generated content without human review.

Editorial independence

Recommendations are based on genuine testing and research, not on advertiser relationships. When an article contains affiliate links, that's disclosed in the article and on our affiliate disclosure page. No advertiser has the right to review, modify, or approve our editorial content before publication.
